3 Tips for Photographing Church Events
Welcome to my Blog! Im Talia and i am so happy you are here. I do photography in church Events, Services and Conferences quite a bit so i wanted to share a few tips that can help you when photographing events for churches. My parents are the pastors of City Life Church Portsmouth in England, so i grew up in Church and i am now one of the photographers there. Ok lets get started!
1 - Be aware of your surroundings
This means always keeping an eye out for whats going on around you, such as if there is another photographer or videographer, look where they are and make sure you are not walking straight past there camera or blocking where they are trying to film/photograph. The same thing would apply if you have a church online service recording live, make sure you do not block or stand in front of the camera.
2 - Be Sneaky
When you take candid pictures of people you don’t want to be right up in there face for ages, so just take a couple quick pictures and then move onto the next person so that they are less likely to see you if you are really quick. If they see you and look uncomfortable with you taking there picture its best to move on to someone else.
3 - Look for the individual moments
When you are looking for people to take pictures of try and spot the people in the crowd who other people may not see and pick the people who when you look at the picture it tells a story.
